根据四级英语大纲的阅读技能要求和文章的特点以及题目设置的方式，可以将阅读理解的题型分为以下十种类型，针对不同题目类型总结出十大解题技巧：
指代题
1. 题型特点指代题主要考察考生整体理解文章的能力，并推断出该处指代词所代表的含义。
2. 标志在题干中明确指出原文中某处的指代词要求辨别其指代关系，常考的指代词有it，that，one。
3. 做题关键返回原文定位该指代词。
4. 做题步骤
(1) 返回原文找出该代词所在的句子，并且仔细分析，正确理解该可话;
(2) 向上搜索，找出离该代词最近的名词、短语或句子，以之替换该代词，看句子是否通顺;
(3) 在四个选项中找出与所找到的名词、短语或句子意思最接近的一个作为正确答案。
